Ernie Els #GameON Autism® Golf Clinic Registration Form
The Els for Autism Foundation host’s an Ernie Els #GameON Autism Golf Clinic at select locations of the Golf Challenge regional event Series and offers participants an orientation to golf, specialized for individuals on the autism spectrum. The 1-hour clinic includes a 5-minute introduction and 45 minutes of golf activities with intermittent short breaks. During the clinic, students will work on new golf skills while practicing specific autism learning concepts infused into the lesson plan. The clinic is divided into 4-6 stations that utilize visual supports to cover basic golf skills: Stretching & Grip, Putting, Chipping, Pitching, and Full Swing.
The program is infused with evidence-based practices for teaching golf to people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Participants learn golf skills while practicing specific autism learning concepts, including communication, emotional regulation, motor, and social skills. The program goals are for participants to achieve golf success and build confidence in a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment.
