Format

The format for the Els for Autism Golf Challenge tournament is a.  Two-Person Best Ball (Stroke Play). Those two golfers play their own balls throughout and the lower score between them on each hole counts as the team score.

MEN WILL PLAY THE BLUE TEES, LADIES WILL PLAY THE RED TEES AND SENIORS WILL PLAY THE WHITE TEES.

In the event of a tie at the tournament, all ties will be broken using the standard U.S.G.A. recommended tie breaking method.

PLEASE RECORD EACH PLAYER’S INDIVIDUAL GROSS AND TEAM NEW SCORES ON THE TEAM’S OFFICIAL SCORECARD

Your scorecard must be signed, attested and turned into the golf shop upon completion of play.  Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.  Winners will be announced after play.

Prizes

  • Prizes will be rewarded to the following winners:
    • 1st Place Low Net Team
    • 2nd Place Low Net Team
    • 1st Place Low Gross Player
  • All teams raising $13,000 or more will qualify to attend the 2017 Els for Autism Golf Challenge Grand Finale in Palm Beach, Florida on
  • The 1st Place Low Net Team will receive a 50% off discount (valued at $6,500), for their fundraising towards the Grand Finale.

Course Rules

USGA rules of golf apply except where modified by local course rules.

Food & Beverage

There will be a buffet after play at the Clubhouse. Please join us for lunch and awards.

There will be beverage carts on the course.  For your convenience, the Els for Autism Foundation is providing complimentary soda, bottled water, Gatorade, beer, snacks, and fruit.

Two-Person Best Ball (Stroke Play) Rules

  • Male golfers get 90% of their course handicap, female golfers get 95% of their course handicap.
  • On each hole, players A and B each tee off, each hit their second strokes, each play their third strokes, and so on, until both balls are in the hole.
  • If Player A makes a 4 and Player B scores a 6 on the first hole, the team score on Hole 1 is 4 and so on until the round is completed.
