CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Yvonne D’Amelio, MBA, BS, is the Chief Financial Officer of Els for Autism. She directs all financial aspects of the organization and has over 30 years’ of experience in finance and operations in multiple industries.

Yvonne has more than 30 years of accumulated experience in finance, accounting, operations, management information systems, and human resources.  She became Chief Financial Officer of Els for Autism in May of 2017 and is responsible for the financial health of the organization.  Her diversified knowledge base comes from her experience working in publicly held, Fortune 500 companies, privately held, growth companies in the manufacturing and service sectors and nonprofit organizations.

Before joining Els for Autism, Yvonne was Chief Financial Officer of Soroptimist International and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.  She was Principal and Chief Financial Officer of Vox Medica one of the top 50 worldwide healthcare communication companies, and Controller for subsidiaries of CSS Industries and AlliedSignal, now known as Honeywell. Yvonne holds a BS in business with a specialization in accounting and an MBA from Rutgers University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources, the American Management Association, and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.

Yvonne was recognized as a CFO of the year finalist by the Philadelphia Business Journal and won both the President’s and Innovation Awards by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.  She was an advisor to the CARES Institute, the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University, and the Global Treasurer for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.

As our team continues to change the culture of sports and recreation for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, we need your help! To expand our recreation offerings, we are fundraising to build a specialized autism-friendly recreation complex that will include a gymnasium, aquatic center, and splash pad. With these features, we will be able to offer a dedicated indoor space for activities during inclement weather and provide water safety and drowning prevention for our clients.
