Become a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Els for Autism Foundation. Volunteers are an essential part of our program and your generous offer of support is greatly appreciated. Please take a few minutes to review the available volunteer positions below. If something fits both your availability and interest, we invite you to click the Volunteer Registration button below and begin the process.

Session 4: August 16th – October 11th

Available Volunteer Positions

Art Volunteer 
Time Commitment:  Mondays, 3:30 – 4:15 PM
August 16th – October 4th 

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist instructors in supporting participants during class instruction / Working directly with individuals with autism

Golf Volunteer
Time Commitment: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:00 – 2:45 PM, 2:50 – 3:35 PM.   

August 17th – October 7th 

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist golf instructors in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for individuals with autism.

InterAbility Chorus Volunteer

Time Commitment: Mondays, 2:45 – 4:15 PM
September 13th – December 10th

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist instructors in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for individuals with autism.

Kickball Volunteer 
Time Commitment:  Mondays – 2:45 – 3:30 PM, Wednesdays – 2:30 – 3:15 PM, 3:30 – 4:15 PM, Fridays – 2:30 – 3:15 PM, 3:30 – 4:15 PM
August 16th – October 8th 

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist instructors in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for individuals with autism.

Music Therapy Volunteer 
Time Commitment:Wednesdays, 2:45 – 3:30 PM, 3:40 – 4:25 PM

August 18th – October 6th

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist instructors in supporting participants during class instruction / Working directly with individuals with autism

Musical Theater Volunteer 
Time Commitment:  Thursdays, 2:45 – 4:15 PM
August 26th – December 16th 

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist instructors in supporting participants during class instruction / Working directly with individuals with autism

Tennis Volunteer 

Time Commitment: Mondays, 2:00 – 2:45 PM, 2:45 – 3:30 PM, 3:30 – 4:15 PM, 4:15 – 5:00 PM
August 16 – October 11th

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist tennis instructors in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for individuals with autism.

Adult Day Training Program Volunteer

Time Commitment: Between the hours of 9 AM – 2 PM, once a week

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 4
  • Responsibilities: Teaching or assisting with lesson plans/activities. Options include: CPR and First Aid training, art, music, karate, yoga, money skills, or customer service skills

Adult Work Experience Program Volunteer 

Time Commitment: Between the hours of  9 AM – 1 PM, once a week (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday)

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2 (Can Rotate)
  • Responsibilities: Assist WERFOODIES team with setup, overseeing sales days, and taking pictures

Adult Work Experience Program Volunteer Guest Speaker

Time Commitment: Between the hours of 9 AM – 1 PM, flexible

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Share personal experiences in the food industry (getting started, customer service skills, inventory, increasing customer satisfaction, etc.).

Sea of Possibilities Artist Assistant 

Time Commitment: Would be most helpful on Wednesdays – 10:45 AM – 12:45 PM, and Fridays – 10:45 AM – 12:45 PM but can be flexible 

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 4
  • Responsibilities: To help the clients create the art projects, and assisting in all areas of production, set-up and breakdown.

Development Volunteer 

Time Commitment: During our working hours (9 AM – 5 PM) but hours can be flexible. 

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist with fundraising activities and donor recognition.

Reception Desk Volunteer

Time Commitment: Mondays – Fridays, Between the Hours of 9 AM – 5 PM

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 5
  • Responsibilities: Answering internal calls; greeting, RAPTORing and signing in visitors. Accepting deliveries and contacting recipients. 

     

Sensory Arts Garden Volunteer

Time Commitment: Flexible. 

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 1
  • Responsibilities: Pulling weeds, trimming planter beds, giving plants tlc, etc.

The Learning Center Volunteer

  • Charter school on campus serving students ages 3-14
  • If interested, contact sroutt@thelearningcenter.org

The Learning Academy Volunteer

  • Charter school on campus serving students ages 3-14
  • If interested, contact executivedirector@rlacademy.org
