Become a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Els for Autism Foundation. Volunteers are an essential part of our program and your generous offer of support is greatly appreciated. Please take a few minutes to review the available volunteer positions below. If something fits both your availability and interest, we invite you to click the Volunteer Registration button below and begin the process.

Available Volunteer Positions

Musical Theater Pilot Program Volunteer
Time Commitment:  Thursdays, 4-5:30 PM
August 29 – December 12 (no program on November 28th)

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2-4
  • Responsibilities: Assist drama instructions in supporting students during class instruction / Working directly with individuals with autism

After School Tennis Volunteer
Time Commitment:  Mondays & Wednesdays, 2:30-3 PM, 3-3:30 PM, 3:30-4 PM, 4:15-4:45 PM, and 4:45-5:15 PM
August 26 – October 14 (no class September 2nd)
October 21 – December 11 (no class November 25th and 27th)

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 5-10 (2 per time slot)
  • Responsibilities: Assist tennis instructors in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for students with autism.

After School Golf Volunteer
Time Commitment: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:15-3 PM, 3:15-4 PM, and/or 4-4:45 PM
August 27 – October 10
October 22 – December 12 (no class November 26th and 28th)

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 6-9 (3 per time slot)
  • Responsibilities: Assist golf instructors in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for students with autism.

After School Soccer Volunteer
Time Commitment: Fridays, 3-3:45 PM or 4-4:45 PM
August 30 – October 11
October 25 – December 13

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 10-15
  • Responsibilities: Assist coaches with setup, stations, peer buddies, ball retrieving, and drill managing. Assist golf instructors in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for students with autism.

After School Dance Volunteer
Time Commitment: Tuesdays, 3:30-4:15 PM
August 27 – October 8
October 22 – December 10

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2-3
  • Responsibilities: Assist dance instructor in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for students with autism ages 6-17 years

Music Group Volunteer
Time Commitment: Mondays, 4-4:45 PM and/or 4:45-5:30 PM, Tuesdays 3:10-3:55 PM
August 26  – October 8
October 21 – December 13

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2 per group
  • Responsibilities: Assist music therapist in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for students with autism.

Special Adults Life Skills Academy (SALSA) Cooking & Fitness Class Volunteer
Time Commitment: Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 PM
September 9 – October 30

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 2
  • Responsibilities: Assist class leader in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for students with autism.

Community Access Training Program Volunteer
Time Commitment: Fridays, 10 AM – 1 PM
September 13 – December 6 (no class November 29th)

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 1
  • Responsibilities: Assist class leader in managing, prompting, and modeling instruction for students with autism. Meet at COE and travel in van with group to community locations.

Educational & Vocational Program Material Support Volunteer
Time Commitment: hours are flexible between 8 am – 4 pm
2 hours weekly
ongoing

  • Number of Volunteers Needed: 1-2
  • Responsibilities: Meet with team members to obtain materials, assemble materials related to clinical, vocational, and educational programs. Activities may include but are not limited to cutting, laminating, and printing program material.

The Learning Center Volunteer

  • Charter school on campus serving students ages 3-14

The Learning Academy Volunteer

  • Charter school on campus serving students ages 3-14
