Ashley Curcio

Ashley Curcio, M.Ed., BCBA, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Els for Autism Foundation. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida International University and her master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Ashley has experience working with and developing ABA programs for individuals with ASD across 18 months-18 years of age. In addition to her clinical experience, Ashley’s specialty is providing consultation services to international communities with the aim to guide families in the use of best evidence-based practices that meet their individual needs. Her international consultation services have also aimed to disseminate applied behavior analysis with the goal of creating educational opportunities for parents in these communities, along with skill training for professional development. Ashley is trilingual, she speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

As the Behavior Services Coordinator, Ashley works closely with all staff at the Els for Autism Foundation to ensure that the principles of behavior analysis are infused throughout all recreational, vocational and other therapeutic programs. Through the Behavior Analysis Services and Education (BASE) program, clinic-based ABA programs are offered to promote verbal behavior, increase play skills, improve academic and adaptive skills and decrease challenging or inappropriate behaviors. The BASE program also emphasizes the role of parents in the development of therapeutic programs for individuals with ASD. Parent training and education is an essential component in helping children with ASD reach their highest potential. Ashley is also the behavioral consultant for the Global Outreach Autism Learning Services (GOALS) program where she is able to continue and broaden her international consulting services for individual families and offering professional development.
