Jody Rettig, B.B.A., grew up in West Virginia and spent 27 years in Georgia, before moving to Jupiter. She graduated college, with a BBA in Marketing. Jody started working with people with different abilities about 18 years ago, as a volunteer at a Hippo-therapy Center (therapy on horseback.) She became a certified riding instructor with NARHA (North American Riders for the Handicapped Association) and gave riding lessons and assisted with PT, OT and Speech. Her son, Tristan, was diagnosed, at age 2, with Autism. Jody’s been blessed to be able to volunteer and be very involved in Tristans private schools and therapies. They moved to Jupiter, 3 years ago, so Tristan could attend The Learning Center, here at The Els Center of Excellence. In addition, she’s been in Palm Beach County Schools as a Paraprofessional, in an Autism classroom. Jody serves as a Job Coach for the Els for Autism Adult Services. She supports adults in our Work Experience program and provide supports and strategies for attaining employment.
