Tara Murray graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion and is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certified by the BACB. She is currently continuing her studies, working towards obtaining a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Alabama and a Master’s of Arts in Exceptional Student Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of West Florida in preparation to sit for the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) exam.
Tara joined the Els for Autism staff as a Recreation Services Specialist, supporting and implementing curriculum for the Tennis and Soccer Recreation programs. She is currently employed as a full-time RBT, providing 1:1 intervention services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) focusing on areas such as communication, daily living skills, play skills, hygiene and social skills. She provides direct client care and implements individualized treatment plans that consist of a combination of intensive and natural environment teaching methodologies that are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
As a job coach, Tara prepares participants for paid employment, planning and implementing the supports and strategies needed in a work-place related to independent living, communication, and pre-vocational skills.
