Second Annual FALLoween Festival

Saturday, October 14, 2023

For most, Halloween is a fun-filled night with trick-or-treating and exciting costumes, but for those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Halloween can be a night filled with stress. From the loud, scary sounds and decorations to the scratchy, uncomfortable costumes to the idea of being in an unfamiliar place, the day can create barriers for people with ASD. To create an environment where those on the spectrum can truly be themselves, Els for Autism hosts an annual FALLoween Festival, which provides a safe and welcoming space for children and adults with autism to enjoy the holiday.

This family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at The Els Center of Excellence from 2 – 5 PM and will feature a sensory ‘Haunted Hallway’ entrance to the event, a costume contest, carnival activities, light bites, trick-or-treating, and much more!

Support from our local community is essential for us to continue to make strides in creating limitless possibilities for people with autism and their families. Please consider supporting our Spooky Supply Drive to help us get all the supplies needed to create a fang-tastic event!

Join us in creating an inclusive celebration!
