April is World Autism Month, with the United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day on April 2.
Though World Autism Month has come to a close, we remain committed to celebrating and recognizing individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families worldwide. We are honored to support endless possibilities for people with ASD and those who care for them throughout the year.
We are very grateful to all the local businesses for hosting giveback events, government officials for honoring us with proclamations, and national companies for holding annual initiatives in support of Els for Autism. With their help, we are able to further our global mission of transforming the lives of people with autism and those who care for them through lifetime services and collaborative partnerships.

Share Your Story, Shine Your Light!
One of the best ways to encourage understanding and increase acceptance is by simply sharing your story. Whether you are a person with autism, or a parent, sibling, caregiver, teacher, colleague or friend to a person with autism–you have a unique story to tell and we want to hear them!
Consider creating a Facebook Fundraiser to support Els for Autism and share your autism journey. Fundraisers who raise $1,000 or more will receive an Els for Autism car magnet.
We will be randomly selecting stories to feature throughout the month of April in our email newsletters and social media.
Don’t have social media? You can email your story to firstname.lastname@example.org
