Sea of Possibilities – Microbusiness

The first group of participants to return to The Els Center of Excellence® campus following the COVID-19 shutdown were the adults in the Adult Day Training program (ADT), who launched the ‘Sea of Possibilities’ microbusiness with help from Julie Lobdell, the Foundation’s Microbusiness Specialist.

Through ‘Sea of Possibilities’ participants create a variety of ocean-themed art projects using materials from the beach, such as shells, driftwood, coral, sand, and sea glass.

The ‘Sea of Possibilities’ microbusiness empowers participants to learn:
-Design and development
-Staying on task
-Communication skills
-Community inclusion
-Money skills
-Motor skills
-Vocational skills
