Roots & Ruts Off-Road 5K Run/Walk
Save the Date – Saturday, March 25, 2023
The 4th annual Roots & Ruts Off-Road 5K benefiting Els for Autism®, features a course through the North Jupiter Flatwoods Natural Area, a 160-acre natural area preserves comprised of mesic flatwoods, wet flatwoods, depression marsh, and dome swamp ecosystems. Racers will encounter multiple ground surfaces throughout the race, such as pavement, gravel, sand, grass, as well as roots and ruts, so we encourage each runner/walker to be cautious and aware of their path during the race.
The Sensory-Friendly Obstacle Course was perfect for children, families, and non-competitive runners. This course will feature obstacles that involve jumping, balancing, water, crawling, and more.
All proceeds benefit the Els for Autism Foundation®. Your participation will help us continue to secure funding for the Sports, Medical and Research, and Adult Services Facilities at The Els Center of Excellence®.

In partnership with the Town of Jupiter’s Recreation Department and Jupiter Medical Center’s Cary Grossman Health & Wellness Center, Healthier Jupiter will be offering their annual FREE 9-week Couch to 5K Training Program. This program helps individuals gradually increase their physical activity levels enough to walk or run a 5K (3.1 miles). You will receive encouragement from other participants along the way and training guidance from Jupiter Medical Center Wellness Center trainers. This program is a great way to ease your way into a healthier lifestyle and get ready for that 5K you have always wanted to run!
